Today I asked for a message and I saw a young girl twirling a toy propeller in the air. In the meditation the wind carried it random places and she watched as though she had no control over where it went. The message was that God moves through and around all things and He is in control of what happens.
Life is a series of events that can sometimes appear quite random. We may be trying to steer things in a certain direction only to have them change course. This can even happen in relationships in which we thought we knew the path they were taking only to be surprised when the direction of those relationships changes. Life would not appear so random if we could anticipate all things before they happen and understand the meaning behind why. Even for intuitive people, we are not supposed to see “all” things because that would interrupt God’s plan. For those that we do, it does not exempt any of us from feeling our human emotions and disappointments.
Recently, I have been asking to be more aware. When life gets busy, I find myself using my awareness more for others than myself. In so doing, I left myself vulnerable and trusting in ways that I shouldn’t have. Being very human, we all do that. We want to love and give and then find that we have ignored things that need to be addressed. When we look back, we can then see the events were not random. We just weren’t paying attention.
The moral to the meditation is that we need to practice conscious awareness. Though things may seem random, God is in control. He is guiding the direction of all things, even when He lets us be in charge. His presence may be subtle or it may be strong. When we exercise our faith, we stay in the solution and we allow the universal flow to happen in our lives. We are given the awareness and guidance we need to be successful in all areas of our lives. It is important to be a conscious observer, to ask for Him for guidance and to allow things to flow with effortless ease. © December 28, 2013 Nancy Hickman, M.Ed., LLC
