A topic I don’t speak about often is that of spiritual oppression. I like to keep my topics focused on the more positive aspects of God and how we can all heal with his love and help. However, that is an incomplete picture to present to the world when there is so much suffering affecting so many people. Being intuitive, I see both the loving aspects of God and the negative aspects of other energies impacting the lives of people all around me. If we view that suffering from what we see on the surface, we see a lot of dysfunction, addiction, mental illness, crime and more. We can look at each individual and say, “They have a lot of problems.” We only see the individuals behavior and not any underlying spiritual factors at work. From a psychic perspective, it is more apparent that we need to look beyond what we see on the surface and recognize that a large portion of people are actually being oppressed in a way that prevents them from being the loving productive people they are meant to be.
What is spiritual oppression? It is the presence of negative spirits in the lives of people for the purpose of disrupting harmony and creating conflict. Spiritual oppression is characterized by symptoms that manifest as: addiction, anxiety, mental illness, unexplainable physical illness, bad luck, compulsions, suicidal thoughts, fears, insomnia, nightmares, uncontrollable anger and more. Many people may also experience the manifestation of sights and sounds related to paranormal activity, physical symptoms related to uncontrollable twitching or involuntary body movements and voices. Sometimes it is just the feeling that you have an emotional weight upon you that prevents you from feeling light and happy. The level and severity of the oppression can vary but left unhealed, it can grow in strength and in impact on the lives of those suffering from it. Though there are activities people can participate in that attract negative entities, they are around in our environment and can seemingly attack a person for no reason at all.
My purpose in discussing this topic is to create awareness so we can utilize our spiritual tools in a united way to create healing. It is important to know that positive spirits are just as abundant. They are there to help us if we seek their help. When we call upon the presence of God or God’s angels, we are in fact reducing the power and ability of anything negative to have an affect on those we love. A few minutes of prayer each day can create healing. It is important to know that inviting in God’s loving presence and help is essential to healing any condition or situation involving spiritual oppression. Always remember, God’s light and love are far stronger than any negative energies or presence. I’m inviting you today to pray with me for those that are suffering and for God to intervene in a positive way to prevent crisis in the world. When we join together, our prayers are multiplied and the healing begins. ©September 29, 2013, Nancy Hickman, M.Ed., LLC
